Food Com was founded in 1999 by Mr. Reinhard Murer, Switzerland. With a professional background from the food and beverage sector in Switzerland
he came to Thailand in 1993, and decided to stay here. With a partner from home he opened a restaurant in Phuket, now known as
the 9th floor.

However, supply of quality beverages remained an issue to be dealt with. So Food com (Thailand) Co Ltd was established in Bangkok, and with a
very competitive selection of wine, spirits and beer the success was almost immediate.

"But you can never rest on earlier results" says Reinhard. "There is increasingly strong competition on the F&B market.
While a great wine from last year will remain great demand may have turned towards something else.
For this reason we keep focusing on research into wines at any price level. This means spending time and resources on attending
wine fairs around the world. We always welcome new suppliers to contact us."
